From what I known (born and raised in PA, cousin in a licensed realtor) the PA housing market is thriving despite the economic conditions. I know she has sold a number of properties in the Main Line/Greater Philly area just over the past few months. There are some really great deals out there right now,but you are right, you have to be quick. Houses are being sold before even being put on the market, at least in southeastern PA.
