If we are going by weather alone, San Diego by far is the best place in the US to live. It hardly ever rains, is sunny almost everyday, and the temperatures are mild all year. If we are talking about affordable places to live, I would say Austin, TX is a great place to live. It is an ever-growing city with lots to do, and housing has still remained pretty decent there despite their continual growth.
