Default Financing in another country?

Does anyone know how much of a hassle is to obtain financing to buy a property in another country? Financing from that country, I mean.

The main decision to make is to whether you want to finance the property in your own currency in which case a mortgage advisor in your own country will be able to help or if you want to opt to link into the currency of the country you are buying in you probably have more options in the country that you are buying in. However a good mortgage advisor will be able to advise.

Yes, but how do you find them outside your country of birth? I should be able to find them before making the trip there. Also, how is it better: to obtain financing in a weak or a strong currency?
