Are there any current, high profile success in the realm of real estate development? Has anyone succeeded at this despite the current subprime crisis?

its sad, but i havent heard any recent big scale success stories but i have faith that things will get better.

There are not many success stories at the moment I guess - most people have lost rather than won.

Not in the US, but you can make a pretty good profit buying in Eastern Europe. The trend is ascending there, and you can still make profit by just buying and then selling when the price is even higher.
