Default How solar do you go?

If buying a home in a new development, would you want it to be solar? Would you actively look for a solar home? Does being solar matter to you?

Solar home developments are a really great, new technology, especially out here in California. I do plan to actively look for a 'green' house when I am on the market again.

I wish it didn't cost so much to convert. Love the concept, but can't afford it, even with the incentives they offer.

If the price would be reasonable I would love solar energy in my home. Think of all the electric savings long term. I inquired once on putting solar panels on my home and the costs were prohibitive!

I would look for a solar home once the price for the technology goes WAY down.

I hope the price does come down. We need for the survival of the planet. I would so love to do it, but just can't. Hopefully, we'll reach the point where technology will make solar the common thing and the price will be more accessible for everyone.

It absolutely matters to me. I have wanted to be solar for years now - long before it was chic. The thing holding me back is the very high upfront costs. Here is So Cal is can easily reach $20,000 (US).
