Default What would you choose?

A system in which the social security is extra high, in which the state gives equally to the poor, the unqualified and uneducated, a system in which there is no real diversity of products.....

OR

A system in which the state gives nothing but the minimum (police, infrastructure, laws etc), in which the consumer is king, in which every man is for himself, in which healthcare costs are extra high, in which you could make huge amounts of money one day and make mistakes and be a hobo the next?

I would choose the second. And if you chose the first, then congrats, you're a commie.

EugenS there are problems with both systems. As we are seeing here in America, and I promise you your going to see more and more of this in the next few years, Our entire banking system has been committing fraud. County Wide has about 500 employees charged and I not IndyMac is being investigated for something. The feds are not saying yet what they are looking for.

I think if you scratch the surface of our free market you will find rampant corruption to the point is is no better than corrupted communism. Why is this? Our consumers are more interested in consuming than they are holding our businesses and government responsible for the frauds it has committed.

I am making a educated guess here but I think that the banking industry will have to be totally nationalized to fix the mess we are in. This puts our government in a really powerful position so it is equally important that the citizens exert powerful measures on our government to play by our rules and not commit fraud again under their leadership like has happened in virtually every governmental agency we have. We the people have to run the government, and government with its rule of law has to control the business sector to the point that these enormous frauds going on cannot happen again. This will require all of us giving up some of these so called freedoms we have to allow financial transparancy to work its magic that will prevent a financial scam from getting very far.

I'm actually advocating communistic rule over business rather than citizens. As by and by it seems that every corporation is involved in something shady. Flame me if you wish, but I ask you this? Do you have a better solution to the porblem? Do you have a solution at all? We I do, and flawed or not it is a solution to work for effective change.

And I totally beleive that the underprivledged, the sick, the disabled should have the help they need. There is more to a culture than its profit margin. There is cthics, morals, and compassion. You my freind seem to rule all of that out in government and quite frankly i wouldnot want to live in this so called free society you would because so many wonderful people I have known would end up dead in it.

Elvenrunelord makes some good points, and there are issues with both systems mentioned at the beginning of this thread, although I do not think communism is the answer. People just really need to wake up and see that our government is not going to be, nor has any intentions, of taking care of them - so they need to get out there and do what they can do take care of themselves. This too has issues obviously, because there are people that need assistance, but that doe not need to be something that our government is responsible for - there are other options. Less is more in terms of government, but until the masses realize the injustices being committed at the hands of our government, we are just going to be getting on, day to day, not making any real changes.

I don't like either one of these, to be honest with you. I would like social security to be a fair price, and would give equally to all people
