Hybrids have a good shot at being the future, once they come down in price. Motorcycles are a bad idea unless it becomes the norm. Those things are dangerous, mainly because the majority of drivers decide they have their own rules (I swear, I'd really like someone to do something about them cutting through the lanes). Bikes are good, if you're physically able; unfortunately, too many folks aren't.

I don't think that there is a real way to save petrol for real. I think people are trying to just gas them selves up (no pun intended)

Sure you can save. Don't just drive around like we use when driving itself could be recreational. Map out your trips, so you run your errands at one time and in a logical order. If you don't need to drive, don't. etc etc etc :}

This is true...gas is the densest when it's the coolest in the morning or at night, and we are charged for volume, so you get the most for the money at that time. Also, cars don't need to warm up for very long...30-45 seconds is fine, and take it easy taking off from a stop too...don't have to race!

tell that to the idiot who followed me out of a grocery market a week or so ago. I swear, I was waiting for the traffic to pass, pulled out, and she swerved around me, yelling and cussing, so much so that she almost hit a car in front of her; then she swerved into another lane and almost hit another car. Had I been able to see her license plate, I would have called the cops. Trust me, she used up some gas there.

For me, to save on petrol, avoid those unnecessary trips therefore less car use. And if its only short distance, rather use your bike. Its good exercise too.
Hi a top box is something used a lot in the UK for additional storage its a box that fits on your roof rack that you use like an extra trunk

I think the best way to save gas is to avoid being stuck up in long traffics.

Default People's spirits high

Tehran, May 18 (DPA) Although Iran has a daily oil production of 4.2 million barrels, it still spends five to eight billion dollars for petrol imports. The petrol consumption of some 73 million litres daily, over 40 percent is imported - but at the pump, Iranians have to pay only 11 cents per litre, or only about one-fourth of the actual cost.The lavish subsidies for keeping petrol prices low and people's spirits high have not only caused a huge hole in Iran's budget but have also increased the number cars in Iran.
