Default Property and relationship llc's

There are people who get around the limitations regarding marriage, by forming "relationship" llc's. All property that would normally be accumulated during a traditional marriage is the property of the llc.

Are there places where this might be prohibited?

I have never heard of this before - does this mean people are forming companies instead of marriages and buying residential property to live in? I honestly can not think of any instance where an llc buying property would be outlawed and this is certainly an interesting phenomenon.

I've never heard of this either. What good will it do, I mean, would it matter in case of a divorce?
