Default 10 Do's and Donts when viewing a House for Sale

1) Say you like everything we have all watched the Home Improvement programs we all do it with even with our own homes we say we will knock down this wall and do whatever we will never get around to doing it we all like to show that we have ideas and flair. If you think that the house you are looking at needs major structural changes may be you should make it easier on yourself and look at something more suitable. You do not want to be seen as the couple that wanted to rip the heart out of their house several people could be interested so win them round.
2) Do switch the lights off if the seller has switched them on know what you are buying and how much sunlight it gets.
3) Do not be too nosey if there are standard fitted wardrobes you dont really need to examined what clothes they have.
4) Do make a fuss of children and pets yes the owner should have moved them out of the house so that you can look around without been bothered but if they havent you have got to humour them.
5) Do ask why they are moving.
6) Do ask what the neighbours are like.
7) If parking your car in the garage is important to you then go ahead make sure you can fit your car into it.
8) If the agent is showing you around just remember they are not your friend do not give too much away that might weaken your bargaining position.
9) Do remember to look up and down notice the state of every ceiling and the condition of the floor coverings these are major expenses at least take a count of them.
10) If there is a smell of baking bread rub your hands with glee as they must be desperate to sell.

First guide I ve seen for how to behave when looking around a house some good points raised as I always find it annoying when people say how they are going to change everything.
