Cool Seven reasons for buying a new home abroad

1) Its got to be for a better climate.
2) Better quality of life nicer food and wine. A friend of mine Dave left the UK about 5 years ago to go to the South of France he was 45 and was starting to get health problems high blood pressure generally unfit and starting to feel old, I see him a couple of times a year now and everytime I see him he looks younger more fit and he is always smiling.
3) Life experiences different countries different customs language etc.
4) How about Sun in the Summer and a bit of the white stuff in winter?
5) Why not ? you can always come up with an excuse but are you still going to be thinking about it this time next year.
6) One stage at a time why not consider buying a property overseas and see how much you use it and whether you could see yourself living there fulltime.
7) What about the kids? well you can always hide behind the kids, but imagine actually living somewhere where they might want to come and visit , somewhere where you can build new memories. How would you have felt in your twenties if your parents had moved abroad.

Good points, Mindy, as always. I'd add another one, think of opportunities for profit. You never know when you can mix a little bit of business with pleasure.

Interesting post. I'm thinking it might be time to leave America. I'm not sure I believe in where we are going anymore here.

Only problem I see is the fact that its going to be hard to get something of comparable size overseas, especially at the rate the dollar is becoming devalued. Great points though, really makes me wonder why I keep wasting my time here!!

Sounds like Brad and Angie, doesn't it? That's what I thought of, for some warped reason. Anywho, I believe exposing children to a variety of cultures is a good idea. I'm very partial to these United States, though, so couldn't leave myself. However, I know a family who has left the country for more peaceful and less expensive living elsewhere. They're very happy. Certainly, if I had Brad and Angie's money, I'd be more inclined to check it out.
