Default Number of Homes??

How many homes should you look at before choosing one? The national average is that you should look at 15 houses before making a decision.

It is really a case of that you should keep looking until you find what you are looking for. I was talking to a local estate agent who told me that people rarely buy what they first specified when they set out looking. So my advice would be to keep an open mind and look at a variety of properties. I moved from a Victorian semi detached house with loads of period features to a new modern house and I wasnt even looking to move so may be fate has a part to play too. Good luck

You might get extremly lucky and find the home of your dreams to be the first house you ever visit. So keep your mind open.

When looking for my first new home I looked at countless unsuitable properties then got talking to my neighbour who said she was selling her house so I ended up moving next door, I was renting at the time so its worth talking to peole especially if you have already decided on a particular area.

Nice story, Henry. I've a similar one, with a cousin. After she looked at many many houses, she ended up buying from one of her neighbors.

Yeah, and this is funny. Sometimes you're looking so far, far away, that you can't see something, that is really close.

Maybe 20 at first, then would be reduced to 10. From there I will pick 5, and the best would be the one that I will purchase.

I know that it is an important decision but looking at over 10 houses sounds a lot to me
