The market is still behind, only a tiny fraction of the land has been developed,
although it doesn't have infrastructure for mass tourism, neither they want something like this, instead they trying to offer targetted, quality services....
For best investment is only big island like Rodes, Crete, Mytilini that are
alive throughout the year, at least here in Crete the rental/holiday season is
really long, you get 70% of the year length summer sunshine, and weather
is moderate, not too cold. not too hot.
one good thing about investing here is that finance is still much easier to get
than say spain, you can get properties with very small deposit or no deposit
at all with favourable terms, the banks see a market future value and offer
easy finance secured on the property
also tourism is highly diversified, like russia is starting to come in now,
this is not a fragile investment neither has been seriously affected by the
economic slow down, prices are still rising this year but at slower pace,
on a historical average they rise 9% per year
