How long after an eviction notice do tenants have before they need to vacate the premises?

I should think that would be written on the notice, but if you have questions you can always go to the clerk of the court that issued the Unlawful Detainer (what they call eviction proceedings in CA) and ask them. They cannot offer you legal advice or help in filling out forms, but they can point and nod with the best of them. If you pose your question in a form where they can confirm what you already beleive to be true they can be quite helpful. Kind of a talmudic exercise.
