Default Problems furnishing - carpet

Be careful with your choice of flooring remember its not you thats going to live with it so light coloured carpet is out. Go for something that is hardwearing and that doesnt show marks so go for something that is flecked with several shades. Think of the carpet used in hotel bedrooms a lot of research and experience will have gone into their choice.
I remember furnishing a particular appartment I had taken some good advice from the carpet shop and had choosen a carpet that a lot of landlords had gone for, all was going well until the carpet fitter somehow set off his can of spray adhesive most of which got sprayed into his hair, he looked like he had seen a ghost I was not as amused with the fact that he also managed to cover the door with it as well. It got cleaned up but it did take extra time, I guess its a case of expect the unexpected and deal with it.

I would take this even further to suggest that wood floors are the way to go. They are much more stylish and easy to cover with a simple area or throw rug.
