Yet more indications that Liverpool is on the up and up. The Grand Princess that can only be described as a mega-liner docked at the city's new landing stage. This stage is so close to the city center that the ships bow is practically touching the Royal Liver building. What a marvellous sight it must be cruise up the Mersey and to dock so close to the city centre with all the history of this marvellous city surrounding you.
This year alone, Liverpool Cruise Terminal will welcome almost 18,300 cruise passengers who are predicted to spend £1.28m, no wonder there are plans to improve retail facilities here.
