Unhappy Happiest City in Britain

Well not only has Bristol been named as cycle capital of the UK its now been named as Happiest City in the UK followed by Wolverhampton, York, Plymouth and Sheffield. I couldnt help but be surprised by the results until I read further, the survey was based on 2000 people but was done by Mr Kipling yes of the cake fame. Now do people who eat cakes form the best people to survey about being happy, dont miserable people reach for chocolate and cakes???

Yeah I read this poll, from what I remember it said that Newcastle was the most miserable followed by somewhere else then Leeds. Well from ehat I know of Newcastle and Leeds they are absolutely buzzing so I guess that we should ignore this poll

What criteria were taken into account when this study was done? It is always interesting to see what elements come together to make up a "great city".
