There are lots of commercials on televison talking about property in Texas that's for sale. The property is part of a housing development community. You buy the property and then, when you're ready, you build your house on it.
It really sounds nice and the payment is pretty low but I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge about places like this.
They give you a free weekend where they pay for everything and you can go down there and check it out but I'm still not too sure about it. Is something like this worth the money and are they too good to be true?
All the commercials basically say is that you buy land in a certain area for a very low down payment. You don't have to build a house on it until you're ready to build. They will send you to the area for a free weekend so you can look the site over.
I was just wondering if anyone has ever done anything like this.
I've seen those for Arizona land, and it literally is desert - where you buy acres of scrub with no ability to sub-divide... I can imagibe that the texas land will be moer of the same.
You know, I have been seeing a lot more of these too in my area (So Cal), and am curious what they are all about. The ones I see all the time are for some property off the coast of Washington/Oregon that is "in development". I wonder if its some sort of timeshare-type deal?
