Default The Six Month Split

This just came up in another conversation, so I became curious. If you could do a six-month split, living in one part of the world for six months and then the next part somewhere else, would you? And where? Are any of you doing that now?

Hi!

A lot of people do this on the East Coast of the US, traveling to Florida in the winter months to get out of the cold and then up north for the warmer months to be with family.

I really think that this is a personal preference. Moving back and forth could become quite tiresome for some, while for others the change of pace every 1/2 year can be refreshing.

Personally, as long as I did not have to actually move too many things and I was able to have someone look over my home while I was gone, I would love the opportunity to move around a bit.

Yeah, that's true. I work in customer service and I get a lot of calls from people calling from their summer or winter place but sending to the other residence. They sound like they keep both fully furnished; they just hop in the car twice a year to get to another climate. That's just so outside of m financial plane! lol

I love this idea and would do it in an instant. I would split my time between San Diego, CA and Philadelphia, PA. I would spend my fall/winter in PA, but my spring/summer in CA. The perfect mix of two beautiful places
