Default Energy Installations

There have been all sorts of rumors surrounding the dangers of living near those big transformer stations that electric companies tend to place near neighborhoods. Every thing form cancer to baldness has been cited as an affect of living near the electrical fields created by these switching stations.

Would you purchase a home near one, if it was really inexpensive?

I have not read any studies on the effects of 'energy installations' on health, but I will say that it always seems that we are told something is BAD for us on a regular basis. People should do research before moving to any area, whether there is some inherent risk of illness there or not.

After seeing some documents on this issue, I dont think we really have anything to worry about, although these rumours do seem to have decreased the value of properties that are built in and around these.

Are there any sites or documentaries you could point me to? I am interested in reading up on these. Thanks!
