My favourite memory of a holiday spent in Malta is the view of Valletta’s spectacularly Grand Harbour, with its honey-coloured spires and bastions, where little has changed through the centuries. You might have seen it in films as its featured in such epics as Gladiator, Troy and The Count Of Monte Cristo used it as a backdrop
