Lakes by yoo granted further planning permission
This is great news for all that have already invested in the second home development designed around six lakes in the Cotswolds. It has been designed by the world renown designer Philippe Starck an is a joint venture with John Hitchcox.
The development is aimed directly at the second homes market.
The glass and timber houses, designed by Starck, are designed to blend into the natural environment and encompass options for solar panels, rainwater harvesting and wind turbines. Key architectural features of the phase one and two homes include split level decking with water access, roof terraces, and solariums.
Interiors designed by Jade Jagger interiors will also be offered to buyers.
The development is specifically pitched at second home buyers – with the literature emphasising travelling distances from London, Oxford and Birmingham. It also pitches the development as “a second home concept hoping to help busy families return to a nostalgic form of weekending”.
Phase three will see 21 homes, ranging from 250sq m up to 550sq m and priced between £850,000 and £2.2 million, join the 51 smaller buildings already on the site. Completion is scheduled for winter 2009.
The existing homes on the site are between 240 and 254sq m.
The developer says there have been strong sales for phase two, and argues that the credit crunch has not affected premium product in established areas
The first residents are set to move in at the end of the summer.
