Real estate investors are being urged to snap up luxury residences in a development backed by US golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.
The 68-year-old has paid a site visit to Raffles St Lucia, which will also feature a golf course designed by him.
Marketers IMI said the development will not only feature a hotel but also estate lots on an island many are predicting is about to go through a sustained growth period.
The West Indian state is the subject of other projects from a series of international hotel firms and is also building a prestigious marina.
Mike Collins of IMI said:
“Raffles St Lucia offers a legendary opportunity to create a legacy for buyers from Europe and Asia, as well as North America. The escalating demand from markets like the UK is quite remarkable, especially for offerings like this one, where scarcity is such a driving factor.”
Nicklaus has been overseeing the development of an 18-hole golf course and club house which is part of the Raffles development and will be open to all residential units on the site.
He said:
“It’s just a spectacular site. The water, the climate, the topography, it has everything you look for in a golf course setting. The moment I saw it I said ‘I want to be here’.”
