Dubai eco property investment

Dubai‘s foray into the eco home industry is taking a new step forward thanks to a ‘harmonious’ master plan community.

Emaar Properties is constructing Mushrif Heights, a neighbourhood it says will have firm sustainability principles.

It will be built around green hills and spread over 44 million sq ft near Al Awir and cost a total of AED 12 billion (£1.7 billion).

Officials said it will involve a network of villas, town homes and apartments offering residents a range of eco-friendly innovations.

Emaar’s UAE boss Ahmad Al Matrooshi said:

“Sustainable developmental initiatives are gaining importance today with Dubai already having taken the lead in designing and promoting green, energy-efficient buildings.

“Mushrif Heights is part of Emaar’s commitment to this social responsibility, and we are creating a new eco-friendly community where the focus is on integrating every day living with the natural environment.”

A school, mosque, shops and peaceful ‘hill sanctuary’ will be central to the project, designed to give residents a break from the hussle and bussle of central Dubai.

Units will involve villas and town homes, plus low-rise apartments, typically ranging in size from 2,325 sq ft to 3,642 sq ft.

Properties are up for sale to private individuals and professional property investors, with all those interested asked to register online at emaar.com ahead of an August 20 starting date.
