A UAE company is hoping to make its dual-tower development stand out from the crowd with help of a design which aims to mimic the movement of sand dunes.
Emirates news agency WAM reports the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has unveiled previews for the commercial and residential towers, to be built by SinoGulf Investments.
According to WAM, the towers will be key features of the AED 8 billion Capital Centre development, which will surround the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Quoted by the agency, ADNEC business development director Sanjay Tanna said the development would
“aid some of the demand for both residential and commercial accommodation currently evident within Abu Dhabi.”
He added: “Rental properties and serviced apartments in Abu Dhabi are achieving strong rates and occupancy levels – a clear shortage of accommodation exists for executives. SinoGulf has recognised the demand for high-end living and has created an A-grade investment opportunity.”
According to WAM, the project is expected to be complete by the end of 2010 and will feature parking, high-speed lifts and gym for the residential units.
Earlier this month Gulf News reported prices in growing areas of Abu Dhabi have soared by more than 100 per cent recently thanks to high demand and limited supply.
