A United Arab Emirates developer says property buyers in the region now have a new option which has been branded ’boutique real estate’.

Abyaar said properties which feature award-winning architecture, designer interiors and “exceptional” finishes are proving more popular with investors looking for units which are better able to hold value.

The company unveiled three new developments at last week’s Dubai Cityscape property exhibition, which it said were “out of the norm” when it comes to the local market.

The ICE tower, Pier 8 and the Dubai Arts District are all aimed at buyers looking for a less mainstream type of home.

Marzooq Al Rashdan, vice chairman and managing director of Abyaar, said:

“All offer a different spin on lifestyle-living and, as always, we have partnered with accomplished suppliers and service providers.”

The ICE tower will be built on the shores of Dubai Marina and will feature 30 levels of angular glass housing 103 apartments.

Meanwhile Pier 8 is set to rise to 39 floors within Dubai Marina and will offer 234 units, ranging from studios to apartments, with two sky villas located on the 38th and 39th floors.

Finally the Dubai Arts District plan is dominated by a commercial cluster and also includes residential builds aimed at “young and trendy buyers”.
