An Indian real estate firm has unveiled a range of affordable new homes for sale in one of the world’s largest planned cities.

Disha Direct is offering units in two projects, Herambh and Amit, in Navi Mumbai in western India.

Herambh is a residential block featuring apartments with private terraces, while Amit is another apartment project including a health club.

The projects are based in the Kalamboli area of Navi Mumbai, which has a population of around 704,000 despite only being built in the 1970s.

Santosh Naik, managing director of Disha Direct, said:

“We want to assure quality homes at an affordable price to property buyers.

“All these projects will be equipped with the best of amenities but will not cost a fortune to the investor.”

Disha Direct added Herambh and Amit are both located close to a market, schools and the Mumbai Pune Highway.

An international airport is also in the pipeline at a site based just 8 kms away, the company added.

Disha Direct research has shown there is a growing need for more affordable housing projects in Mumbai and Thane, prompting the company to launch a ‘Budget Home’ brand to cater for demand.
