Gulf buyers to boost Indian real estate market

India’s property investment market could get a major boost from Gulf-based buyers at an upcoming homes exhibition.
Cityscape India, being held in Mumbai from from December 8 to 10, is expected to attract interest from across the globe with a range of talks and stands.
Dubai-based developer Limitless is among companies exhibiting at the event and banking on a long-term recovery of India’s property market.
The firm said growth in urban areas and an ongoing housing shortage would see a reverse of the current slowdown.
Saeed Ahmed Saeed, chief executive of Limitless, said:
“India is currently facing a shortage of some 21 million homes, and more than 300 million people are expected to migrate to urban areas over the next 20 years.
“At Cityscape India, we will showcase 11 global projects including Bidadi - our proposed 4,000 hectare mixed-use development near Bangalore.”
Mohamed Binbrek, group chief executive of Dubai Properties, also recently confirmed his compnay hopes to expand its development projects into India.
Cityscape India is will appear at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai, and features a number of keynote speakers besides dozens of exhibitions.
The younger Donald Trump, son of the famous US tycoon, will be among the speakers and is set to give his view on the climate for investing in Indian property.
