Homes within a luxury sports-themed Dubai development are now being delivered to buyers, with residents able to use a championship golf course designed by a famous pro.
Bosses of Dubai Sports City, described as a “sporting paradise”, said villas and town houses in the scheme’s Victory Heights real estate project were complete.
The project features the ‘Els Club’, a golf course designed by three-time major winner Ernie Els, and built as a centrepiece to the surrounding homes.
When finally complete the overall city scheme will offer more than just residential real estate, providing retail space, offices, hotels, schools, and even a medical centre.
Dubai Sports City president Khalid Al Zarooni said: “Our vision from the beginning has been to create a high-quality, luxury residential community in the very heart of a sports-focused city, and today we mark that achievement with the delivery of these Victory Heights homes.”
Other sports facilities at the site include a 60,000 capacity stadium for football, rugby and other sports, plus a huge indoor arena, a cricket stadium, and hockey facilities.
The project embodies a new approach to real estate, combining sports related business with luxury residential homes.
Manchester United football club is even present, lending its name to a soccer schools initiative in the Dubai Sports City Football Academy.
Commercial real estate is also appearing on the site, which has two business towers, known as the Gateway, as an iconic entrance.
Homes are also designed to be integrated with the purpose-built sport venues, with the overall project stretching to a cost of $4 billion dollars.
