2,700 homes in Indian master development, Sahara City

An Indian property company has appointed more contractors to build a huge new housing project as part of a chain of new homes schemes across the country.

Sahara Group announced work was due to begin on Sahara City Homes , Nagpur, on high rise apartment blocks, standalone houses and bungalows.

The new scheme is just one of hundreds being planned and developed by Sahara City, one of the leading developers in India’s drive for contemporary property for a growing urban workforce.

Sahara said it had signed up Sricon Infrastructure to construct nine apartment high rises at Nagpur featuring different levels of property, from one-bedroomed homes to penthouse units.

The firm named four other property builders involved in the project and said the deals would help ensure the finished article was a quality development.

Sahara City Homes spokesman Suryavir Singh said: “We propose to provide quality lifestyle to the city of Nagpur and we are confident that this association will help us in providing our customers with a quality living standard at our township.”

Initial preparation work at the site in Wardha Road, Nagpur, began last year and the company says it is now 30 per cent complete overall.

Property is available off plan , with 2,789 units up for grabs over the vast project, with security systems, public transport, air conditioning, shopping malls and a central park included.
