Part of a European island state said to have once attracted the goddess of love is also drawing new property developments, with buyers looking for investment and holiday homes.
Polis in Western Cyprus, famed for breathtaking scenery, is a hot prospect and could be a good target for an overseas home purchase, said Aristo Developers.
Akamas Peninsula in the region is where the goddess of love, Aphrodite, is said to have bathed and met her lover Adonis – and is now seeing villa and apartment homes snapped up by buyers.
Property Wire said George Theodosiou of Aristo Developers said the unique region is “an excellent choice” when it comes to choosing second homes.
Cyprus is also seeing work taking shape on some of Europe’s most luxurious and contemporary resorts, including the likes of Minthis Hills, also on the west coast, and being built by Pafilia Property.
Last year Aristo Developers also released three homes schemes in Nicosia – Amaryllis Court, Anemone Court and Iris Court.
The property market in Cyprus is also being boosted by planning approvals on a collection of new golf developments.
Seven have been given the green light by officials recently, in a move likely to drive up tourist numbers and interest in holiday homes.
