Caribbean property featuring 1,000 ft of private beach front

dominican republicAround 1,000 feet of private shoreline will be part of a $200 million development of Caribbean property being built in an idyllic beach front location. Palmera de Cabarete Resort and Spa will feature 138 luxury new homes in the Dominican Republic and is scheduled to open in 2010, executives announced.

The resort’s sandy beach is part of one of the largest sections of uninterrupted beach in the Caribbean, and homes will range from 2,000 to 4,500 sq ft.

Cabarete is one of the country’s most up and coming areas, a beach community on the north coast which has begun attracting real estate developers thanks to a growing reputation as an adventure sport destination.

Palmera de Cabarete said: “Each of the two, three and four-bedroom suites feature 10 ft high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and travertine floors throughout, plus masterful appointments like Wolf and Subzero appliances in the full kitchens.

“And all are available for sale as vacation real estate at a time when Cabarete is poised to enter the mainstream traveller’s radar.”

The firm added homes developments in the area could benefit from $1 billion in infrastructure improvements promised by the government.

The likes of international firm Nikki Beach hotels and resorts are also getting in on the Domincan act, with the company also planning a homes resort in Cabarete.

The profile of real estate in the Dominican Republic got an extra boost last week when the country’s $1 billion Eastern Aqueduct scheme was named among the top 100 infrastructure projects by CG/LA Infrastructure.
