Guaranteed returns are being offered on a Caribbean property investment project offering plots in a gated community. Agents said land can be bought in the Swaying Palms resort in the Dominican Republic, costing $45,000 and with a protected buy back guarantee in two years at 167 per cent.
The investment is being offered as demand starts to outstrip supply in the Dominican Republic and involves freehold ownership with a full title deed.
Swaying Palms, Punta Cana, includes a private beach, access to five golf courses, plus on site tennis courts and swimming pool.
Andy Welland of agents GEM Estates said: “The disparity between entry prices and exit prices can be quite significant.
“Due to the sought-after location of Punta Cana and this below market value starting price, the developer at Swaying Palms can comfortably guarantee a buy-back at $75,150 in two years giving a fabulous return of 167 per cent.”
Each piece of real estate already has permission for a 200 m sq footprint, allowing for a two storey villa of up to 400 m sq. Those going for an investment can either pay in four quarterly or 12 monthly instalments, interest free after an initial 20 per cent deposit. Real estate in many parts of the Caribbean is expected to hold value better than many world markets currently seeing high price falls.
