Mumbai property show previews thousands of new homes
April 9, 2009 by OPPE News
Dozens of property developers will show off thousands of new homes at a long-running bi-annual Indian property show starting today. Over 80 developers are expected to be in attendance at Property 2009, organised by Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI), a leading trade association.
The event is being held at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, and will also offer buyers information on real estate finance options. Property on offer will include everything from affordable homes to holiday and investment housing.
Organisers said the volume of real estate on show and the timing of the event, which runs until Sunday, meant buyers could grab a bargain.
Pravin Doshi, president of MCHI, said: “Considering the current trend in real estate prices, the forthcoming exhibition organized by the MCHI is a golden opportunity to house buyers.
“This is the right time to buy the property and they should not miss the great opportunity to buy their dream home.”
Real estate finance firms and institutions in attendance will include Bank of India, Citibank and Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited.
Centred on Mumbai, MCHI has run the property show bi-annually for the last decade. The event is the first of its size to appear in the city since the Cityscape India event was cancelled due to last November’s terror attacks in the city.
