Miller makes the right moves in Cotgrave

Laurel DiningThe doors have been opened to home-buying opportunities at one of Miller Homes East Midlands’ premier Nottinghamshire developments, Laurel Wolds.

House-hunters are being invited to attend an open event at the Cotgrave-based development on 26 and 27 September, to learn more about the award-winning housebuilder’s hassle-free Movemaker initiative and take advantage of the expert advice on offer.

The Movemaker scheme aims to ease the trouble housing chains can cause, and assist buyers in selling their existing property.

As part of the scheme, Miller will put the buyer’s old property on the market with an Estate Agent, paying for HIPs, up to £4,000 in agent’s fees, and £500 towards other moving costs, such as removals vans.

Unlike other housebuilders, the Miller plot the buyer reserves will be taken off the market as soon as they sign-up to the scheme and held for up to eight weeks, so that the buyers won’t lose their new home or get gazumped while they try to sell their existing property.

Joy Goodman, Sales Director for Miller Homes East Midlands, commented: “Selling an existing property can often prove to be a huge stumbling block when looking to move, but with our Movemaker scheme, we hope to take away some of that stress and re-build some confidence in the moving process.

“We hope that people who attend this event will get to see first hand what an effective option Movemaker can be. We can show those who say that they wouldn’t have considered buying new before, that not only is property is still one of the best long term investments that you can make, but also that new homes can often be much more affordable and better value then they may have ever imagined.”

Situated just a few miles away from the hustle and bustle of Nottingham’s busy city centre, and within easy reach of Leicester, Loughborough and Newark, Laurel Wolds is nestled in a peaceful area on the outskirts of Cotgrave, only yards away from acres of open countryside, making it ideally placed for those wishing to enjoy the best of both country and city living.

Homes currently available for sale at Laurel Wolds include the three-bedroomed Milne-style home with a light and airy ambience from £199,950, and the grand four-bedroomed detached Stevenson B-type property, complete with an informal family sitting-room featuring French doors, available from £ 279,950.

Good luck to anyone buying a Miller Home…a word of caution, MIller staff are very good at leaving properties unlocked after they’ve been working on them. They did this to myself and a neighbour and both our properties were burgled as a result. One year later and Miller are still yet to apologise, far less compensate us for our losses.
