Spectators have been flocking to a Hampshire property development to have a look at its latest landmark – possibly the county’s tallest living Christmas tree! With its Christmas makeover of over 5000 light bulbs, the 96ft high fir tree, which is in the grounds of Bramshott Place Village, a new development of cottages and apartments for the over 55s, has become a massive talking point in the county and can be seen from miles around.
Bill Gair, Chief Executive of Urban Renaissance Villages, the joint developer of Bramshott Place Village with Helical Bar, commented how delighted they were to be able to give such pleasure to the local community. “We have had lots of new visitors to the development to see the tree since we turned on the lights,” he said, “all saying how they appreciated our efforts in decorating it, and that it was inspiring them with Christmas spirit!
“The whole ethos of an age-exclusive village like Bramshott Place is about mirroring the close-knit neighbourly communities of the past, which were so much a part of British life, where everyone knew and looked after each other, and having this huge Christmas tree is really bringing our residents together for their first Christmas at Bramshott. We have also arranged a carol concert with children from the local Bohunt School and a traditional Christmas lunch in the Clubhouse, so the community spirit is really thriving.”
A limited number of properties are still available in Phase 1 with prices ranging from £295,000 to £310,000 for apartments and from £440,000 to £490,000 for cottages. Phase 2 cottages are now released for sale. Further information is available from the marketing suite on 01428 722800 or by visiting www.bramshottplace.co.uk.
