Anyone who is a keen gardener tends to be very inquisitive about other people’s gardens, and most gardeners love to share their ideas and tips. So the forthcoming Bramshott Open Gardens Festival is a wonderful opportunity to be nosey – in the nicest possible way! The event is biannual and this year takes place over the weekend of 12th and 13th June. Almost 30 private gardens within a one mile radius of Bramshott church will be throwing open their gates to visitors, and proceeds go to three excellent causes: Bramshott Church roof repairs; Macmillan Trust and Bramshott Sunken Lanes.
Bramshott Place Village, the exclusive development of cottages and apartments for the over 55s in Liphook, is proud to announce that it will be the main sponsor of the Festival this year. Bill Gair, Chief Executive of Urban Renaissance Villages, joint developers of Bramshott Place Village with Helical Bar, said: “The Village has quickly become an integral part of Liphook and Bramshott life, so as a company we are delighted to be involved in an event that draws the whole community together and creates wonderful visual appeal.”
The 2008 Festival attracted 700 visitors, but this year the organisers are hoping to bring in 1000 or more. It is certainly expected to be a major event. A wide variety of gardens, within a one mile radius of Bramshott Church, will be open for inspection. They range from large formal grounds to traditional cottage and courtyard gardens, gracing some of the most beautiful homes in Hampshire, and all providing inspiration and ideas to take home and try. A mini bus will take visitors from one garden to another, free of charge. Visitors can also enjoy a barbeque lunch, afternoon tea, a concert recital and a dazzling flower display in the 12th century St Mary’s Church. The Festival is an event that perfectly reflects the ideals of Bramshott Place Village, which has been created for the active, independent over 55s. One of the development’s many attractions is its glorious parkland estate, dating from the 16th century. The residents are therefore appreciators of beautiful surroundings, and many will no doubt visit the Bramshott Open Gardens Festival.
Bramshott Place Village is now well established and many of the apartments and cottages are occupied. The exclusive Clubhouse provides a restaurant, bar, library and leisure facilities including a hydrotherapy pool. Prices range from £290,000 to £325,000 for apartments and from £440,000 to £525,000 for cottages. Further information about the homes available for sale at Bramshott Place Village is available from the marketing suite on 01428 722800, or by visiting www.bramshottplace.co.uk
