Notting Hill Housing, working in partnership with Countryside Properties and the London Borough of Brent, has received planning consent for the phased demolition and redevelopment of the Barham Park estate in the London Borough of Brent. Detailed approval has been granted for phase one, and outline approval for the overall masterplan that includes phases two and three. The site totals approximately 5.65 acres and is located between Wembley and Harrow on the Hill.
Phase one will produce 51 maisonettes and flats for affordable rent, 31 flats for shared ownership sale and 37 homes for private sale.
Notting Hill Housing and Countryside Properties will redevelop the estate over five years starting this summer. All 214 existing properties will be demolished, in three separate phases, to make way for 335 new sustainable homes in a newly designed neighbourhood. The homes will be for rent, shared ownership and outright sale and will range from one-bedroom flats to large family houses with gardens. The scheme also includes retail space, and provision for a neighbourhood office/community space.
