The project website lists completion for the land reclamation as due in 2007, while development completion was initially listed for June 2009.

Once completed homes on the island are expected to feature dozens of luxury villas, while plans also feature major hotels, a marina village and a water theme park.

There also a number of sub real estate developments, including the Gateway, a commercial and residential scheme built in five phases and set to provide new homes for tens of thousands of people.
