It’s all about Image at Kodak House

Dandara Image Kodak House CGIAward-wining developer, Dandara, has given Hemel Hempstead’s Kodak House a new lease of life, with its stunning new development, Image. The ambitious project has seen the company transform the previously empty building, adding two levels to make it 22-storeys high, ensuring it continues to be a well known local landmark and a focal point for the innovative mixed-use development.

Dandara will unveil the first spectacular apartments at Image when it launches three show apartments for viewing on Saturday 26th September 2009. The highly contemporary, professionally interior designed apartments, two two-bedroom and one one-bedroom apartment, will give visitors the chance to see what life could be like at the impressive development.

Michelle Harris, UK South Sales Director for Dandara, comments: “We have created sleek, stylish interiors that live up to the cutting edge, modern design of the apartments. Our interior design company has created three different schemes, each specially designed to highlight the contemporary, open-plan living spaces and illustrate alternative ways that design conscious buyers could personalise a property.

“The sharp edges of modern Italian designer furniture complement the high specification finishes and are softened with a range of different materials, including leather, suede and textured fabrics. Splashes of bright colour, such as blues, purples and oranges add a vibrant edge to the décor, as does the use of some of the latest trends in wallpaper design, including bold floral prints and faux pony skin.”

Michelle continues: “These new apartments are unique in the area in terms of the quality and design standards they offer. We have already had a lot of interest in the properties and are excited about hearing feedback from visitors as we’re sure they will prove to be a real hit.”

Image is a stunning mixed-use development, located on Station Road, in Hemel Hempstead. Combining new build and refurbishment, the development comprises a selection of one and two bedroom apartments and a series of retail units that will be home to small shops and cafes.

The development is centred round a landscaped piazza with a piece of specially commissioned public art at the heart of the space. A newly constructed footbridge will link the piazza to the recently created Riverside shopping centre.

Many of the apartments have balconies or terraces and offer spectacular views across Hemel Hempstead and the countryside beyond. Residents will also benefit from a car club, a concierge service and a peak hours bus service to Hemel Hempstead station for the exclusive use of Image’s residents.

Image is perfectly located for commuters. Hemel Hempstead station is just 0.7 miles away, from where regular trains to London Euston station take approximately 26 minutes and trains to Milton Keynes take approximately 30 minutes. The M1 and M25 are a short drive away, Luton airport is 12 miles from the development and Heathrow airport is 28 miles away.

Prices at Image are anticipated to start from £150,000. The show homes will be open between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September.
