Gloucester Housing Developer Helps Buyers onto the Property Ladder

Hunts Grove Street sceneMaking a move up the property ladder can be stressful at the best of times and with this, homebuyers are looking for ways to make the move easier. Two of the most problematic areas for homebuyers that need to be addressed are property chains and deposits.
Property chains can lock families into difficult and often stressful relationships with complete strangers and all too often fall apart at the final stages, leaving people disappointed and needing to start the process over again.

To help overcome these issues, developer Crest Nicholson is offering homebuyers a full value Part Exchange Scheme at its Hunts Grove development in Hardwicke, removing the pressures of finding a buyer for their existing home and continuing these fragile chains.
Amanda Benjamin, Sales Manager for Crest Nicholson, commented: “The Part Exchange Scheme offers an ideal solution for homebuyers looking to upsize and provides an immediate cash buyer for their home, with independent valuations ensuring that they receive market value. This can give homebuyers extra piece of mind by removing complicated chain delays and breakdowns, often significantly reducing the time it takes to move into their dream home.”

In addition to the Part Exchange Scheme, Crest Nicholson is also giving buyers the chance to put down a lower deposit on three of its properties through their EasyBuy scheme. With EasyBuy, purchasers of the scheme have an opportunity to own 100 per cent of their new home at 85 per cent of the price, paying no rent or interest on the outstanding 15 per cent for the first five years.
The EasyBuy scheme provides an excellent opportunity for homebuyers to buy their home whilst removing some of the initial financial burden, perfect for first time buyers trying to get a foot on the property ladder. This means that two of the two bedroom ‘Sandown’ houses are currently priced at just £118,108 each and a three bedroom ‘Huntingdon’ house is now £145,308.

Unlike similar schemes, with Crest Nicholson’s EasyBuy there is absolutely no rent to pay or interest accrued on the outstanding 15% of the property’s equity for the first five years. The remaining 15% is left outstanding as a loan for up to ten years secured by a second mortgage. The customer pays 0% interest fixed on the outstanding 15% for the first five years and only 3% interest pa (typical 3.00% APR) thereafter.

Amanda Benjamin continues: “The current climate has meant it has been very challenging for first-time buyers to get onto the property ladder and also for existing owners to move house. EasyBuy means that first-time buyers can stop lining their landlord’s pocket and own a home of their own, but can also be used to help other groups of buyers stretch their budgets and perhaps buy a bigger property than they would otherwise be able to afford.”

Visitors can now walk around two of Hunts Grove’s stylish show homes, which opened earlier this year.
The first stylish show home is the four-bedroom, three-storey Kennet, which is perfect for families as it offers a large living room and an open plan kitchen/dining area which opens out directly onto the garden. The second show home is the luxury four-bedroom Calder, which spoils buyers with ample space in which to dine and relax, in addition to a study and four spacious bedrooms; two of which feature en-suite bathrooms, making it an ideal choice for a large family, or those who like to entertain.

Whitstone Hundred, which is set in an enchanting location close to Gloucester city centre, the M5 and the glorious Gloucestershire countryside, offers first time buyers and families a choice of 200 fantastic properties. These include a range of two bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom homes, built in a variety of sizes and styles to suit all types of buyer.

Prices range from £118,108 to £304,950. For more information about Whitstone Hundred, and the properties available, please contact the sales team on 0870 753 1866 or email whitstonehundred@crestnicholson.com.
