Six Excellent Reasons to Buy Property in Cyprus

Filed under: Real estate news and opinion — Rachel Newcombe @ 10:10 am

Last year, the UK’s A Place in the Sun magazine rated Cyprus as the best place in the world to invest in property. But what is the secret of its appeal and why should you consider buying property here?

1.      It’s within easy reach of the UK. Even more direct flights to Cyprus will be available soon, as both British Airways and Monarch are introducing additional flights into their schedules.

2.      The island popular with both expats and tourists. Whether you plan to live there or rent your property, Cyprus offers you very good prospects.

3.      Cyprus is a stable real estate market and the country is also politically and economically stable.

4.      It’s part of the Eurozone. Cyprus joined the EU in 2004 and adopted the Euro this year, something that has proved an influential factor for other foreign property markets.

5.      Cyprus has a high standard of living, but with lower costs than the UK.

6.      The lovely Mediterranean climate - Cyprus is blessed with plenty of sunshine and great weather.

Emphasising the benefits of Cyprus, Maria McLaren, from McLaren International Properties, told the Off Plan Property Exchange blog, “Cyprus is one of the safest places in the world to buy property. The sunshine really does shine most of the year and, even when it doesn’t, the Cypriot people more than make up for it. As Cyprus is a small island, you only need drive 10 minutes inland to find the real Cyprus and there are so many places to see and discover - from the Akamas conservation area on the west of the island, to the Cape Greko on the east.”
