Ibiza in trendy investment property hot-spot shock. No, really

Do glow sticks and foam parties strike fear into your heart? If so, you’ve probably never contemplated investing in property on the party island of Ibiza. But a recent article in The Times has challenged the 18-30s image of the little Balearic. You just have to focus on the right side of the island, apparently.
According to The Times, Ibiza has become a home for the super-wealthy, the sort who are often delivered by private jets. The list of island visitors includes hedge-funders, film directors, Saudi Arabian princesses and “sophisticated bohemians” - the moneyed British elite. All searching for the ‘ultimate chill out’.
Breathtaking views as standard
The rise in prestigious visitors has led to property developers filling the island with luxury hotels and villas, some of which include staff quarters, guesthouses, terraces, infinity pools and breathtaking views as standard. But you will need up to £6 million to invest if you want to bag one of the top-notch properties which allow you to glide seamlessly from your bed to your boat.
One island resident is quoted in The Times who is saving for his infinity pool and, instead of a £16,000-a-year maid, has a local woman who occasionally comes to stock the fridge. He says:
“This house is my life’s work. I would sell everything I have to make it happen.”
Genuine magnetism
Also next to the new, ultra-hip Ibiza is Es Vedra, an island just off the southwest coast. This is said to be the world’s third most magnetic point after the North Pole and the Bermuda triangle. So steer clear if you have a tiny plane, or a metal plate in your head.
